Boy Racers are (all) chavs... many of them have cars worth 20k+ and often they'll be in trade apprenticeships and will end up doing pretty well for themselves financially.
Money doesn't really come into it... in fact... some of the chavviest clothes / "bling" / gadgets etc. are effing EXPENSIVE!
Now... I'm aware that Helen grew up in a middle class household... but, I feel it's important to point out that there are LOTS of chavs born of middle class parents. It's a strange phenomenon, but not an uncommon one.
