It's always foolish for boy bands to throw it away at their height in the long run because their fans have no loyalty. The band ends, the fans get a little bit older and suddenly it's uncool to have ever liked the band and that means they can only "reform" once those teenage girls are grown women and maybe a fraction of them would pay to see them perform live. I always think boy bands should just milk it until they've outstayed their welcome and THEN do the reunion thing. Perfect example: Westlife. It's stupid to throw it all away and make a desperate bid for a solo career. None of One Direction have the charisma or performance skills to be viable solo artists. I'm sure a couple of them will have a couple of hit singles, but there is no Beyoncé or Justin Timberlake in this band. I wonder, when they split, if it'll come out that some of them hate each other?
