Liam seems like he enjoys making music but isn't particularly attention seeking compared to his band mates so I'd imagine he'll give it a go, no one will show interest because he won't put 100% into it and he'll give up and retire from the public eye until they reunite.

Louis wrote most of the most recent album so he could maybe go to writing. He's desperate to come out to the closet, so much that he's doing hard drugs (look at how gaunt he looks, he used to have flesh in his face).
