The water lost is the equivalent to a shower... that doesn't make a noticeable subtraction to the tens of millions raised.
We'd all love to donate to every charity all the time but it's simply not realistic. This gives a specific incentive especially for those who are oblivious to the charity in the first place.
Ultimately it's only a good thing.

I definitely don't think it's a bad thing for the charities
for now, the donations won't continue from the biggest majority though.
