I don't think it rude to talk about politics, I do it all the time, politics is life after all, what happens in politics and is done by politicians affects the lives of everyone.

No one is compelled to talk about politics or reveal where they may be giving their votes but I see no harm in asking who we support.
If we want to answer we will, if we don't we just ignore the thread and question.

I actually think it sad that politics is not discussed more by people really,I do so with my friends and family and support among them is for just about every party going.
We have good chats as to it all though and as to what we would like to see happen from Govts and what we would like politicians to do.

I am however,I admit, a political animal however, having a massive interest in same so I look at it all from my perspective.
I welcome all opportunities to discuss politics and also I am not bothered who knows how I vote too, I am happy to say because who I decide to vote for is one the big decisions I make in life.
Having said that,I would never push people to discuss politics if they didn't wish to, or suggest they should say who they vote for if they have no wish to say so.
That is their right.
That surely doesn't mean no one else should talk or ask about political matters anyway.
There is a general election in 9 months time.a major event in the running of the UK.

Some forums even have a section totally about politics.
