It's considered rude by some people yeah but I've never really understood that. I mean don't get me wrong I wouldn't go out of my way to ask people I'd just met their political views, that could get very messy - but I am more than happy to discuss politics with anyone that initiates a conversation about them, in fact I enjoy and encourage it. I totally understand why some people don't wish to discuss it and that's fine, but I think the idea that all conversations and questions about it should be banned because it's 'rude' is absurd. More people need to talk about politics, it's important.

Anyway, I don't really feel like there's any party that sufficiently represents a large majority of my (in all honesty quite radical and left-field) views, perhaps the Greens are the closest. I expect I'll be voting Labour next year though.
