He did say those things but not in the context she was regaling the tale to the other two.
She made it out as if he had been attacking her, where as it was the total opposite. He was trying to explain to her why she got a negative response and 'PERHAPS' it was because the way that she could have come across when she was stood over Gary shouting at him. He went on to say that if you stand over someone raising your voice, especially an old person, you could come across as a bully and the person sat down holding his hands up as the victim. He then told her how to try and behave if she wanted to learn from the experience, he told her to try to keep her emotions in check.
Comes across as a real nice guy Mr Harrison.
