FFS- he hasn't taken him under his wing at all.
He was given and 'unofficial warning' probably as get out of jail free card for CBB more than anything else, in front of the nation and was told in no uncertain terms that the way that he was treating Gary was wrong and it had to change, he was also told that because he was the one that was most in contact with him perhaps he should change his ways and try and help him. The bit we saw also had CBB stating what was wrong with Gary.
Now a caring human being doesn't need to be told the needs of others, they pick up on it straight away and the first clue is that he's an old man and the second clue, {even if they didn't know about his brain operations} was that there wasn't something quite right about him and obviously needed a wee bit more tolerance and understanding.
James Jordan's actions are in total contradiction to his body language and outward demeanor- all he wants to do is dominate the old man and prove that he's an Alpha male.
Delusional, ar%ehole of a man. Illusions of grandeur and a much higher status {in his mind} than he actually is.
I also hate the way that he's tagged on to George,as if he knows that will make him look better and show him in a positive light. Just look at what he said about Ricci and his initial thoughts on him- {since he's admitted that he was wrong} bu nevertheless, for that thought process to go through someone's mind that's in the business he's in about someone that he's never met from the same industry speaks volumes about the way he pigeon holes people. Almost layers them in ascending order.
It's a shame it's not David Haye in there this year, he would have taken him out when he said " I am not scared of you"....
