James would have come out of this far better if he'd prepared himself better for his exit interview. We all know that the edit can make someone look bad, so if he'd done a good interview, he could have turned things around by being more gracious. He knew he'd be booed, so he should have spent some time preparing himself, swallowed his feelings and behaved like a sportsman does in defeat. He could still have done that while remaining true to himself. An acknowledgement that Gary had played the game well, a few jokes about them staying in touch after the show, then move on to other things. Sadly, he was gutted to have been booed (& beaten by G & A?) and spent the whole time trying to justify his behaviour towards Gary, rather than focusing on the positives, such as the friendships he'd forged, the laughs they'd had and things he'd learned during his time in there. He had an opportunity to shine and he blew it.

Gary, on the other hand, managed to get in a few well-placed digs, such as pointing out that James had helped him to win, and that the best part of each day was winding them up by dropping his pants, then sedating himself. lol. His was decidedly the best interview of the night - thought-provoking, amusing and cryptic.

Shame really. James is a really talented man and has a lot of very nice qualities, but he's quite a passionate person and wears his heart on his sleeve, and that's not the best place to keep it if you aspire to live your life in the public eye.
