They are many more times worse and more dangerous than 'something out of the dark ages'. The world has - sadly - moved on from swords and scimitars, to guns, nuclear warheads and weapons of mass destruction(inevitable, and only a matter of time) whilst the blind hatred and intolerance of that time has intensified.
These fanatics have but one 'goal' and that is to ensure that every single country on this planet becomes Muslim. They will utilise any methods - no matter how barbaric and inhuman - to achieve their goal, and will
never stop until they achieve it. They cannot be reasoned with or appeased and we
cannot win until we adopt a 'zero tolerance' 'eradicate or be eradicated' policy instead of the 'civilised', 'half-hearted' 'fair play' one we currently employ. You cannot fight by the Marquess of Queensberry Rules when the other guy is wielding a baseball bat.
I often say to my kids that there is more truth in film than text books and for the reason I say that we cannot win, look no further than the film Godfather 2', when Michael Corleone is with Hyman Roth in Havana, Cuba, in late 1958 - the time when communist rebels are trying to overthrow dictator Fulgencio Batista. Michael witnesses a communist rebel kill himself and a Havana policemen by detonating a grenade, then determines that Batista cannot win because the rebels are willing to
sacrifice themselves for their 'cause'.
I detest violence and war, and I am aware of the many complexities behind what is occurring now, but I believe that there comes a time when it is totally meaningless to 'selectively' proffer up historical reasons in an attempt to justify the atrocities, and stand firmly on the side of what I believe is the lesser of two evils - the West.
This is not a problem that is going to 'go away' and if we do not fight fire with greater fire, we will lose, and countries will fall to Islam like dominoes, and we will end up living subject to Gypsy Goth's list and far worse.
I am a British born Christian and proud to be both, but before anyone on here lambasts me, let me stress that I am referring
specifically to Muslim Fundamentalists, and not ordinary Muslims - who have as much in common with these maniacs as ordinary Irish Roman Catholics had with the I.R.A. Even ordinary Muslims are being terrorised and slaughtered by these terrorists.
I am not racist or intolerant to other religions, but I know that these Muslim Fundamentalists are truly the harbingers of what can only be termed; 'Armageddon'.
