And if the EU Parliament is involved, then we can look forward to Robot owners being able to claim Job Seekers, Housing Benefits and Council Tax rebates on their behalf, and being granted the power to vote on their behalf in General Elections.

Additional spin-off benefits will surely be that a documentary will be made highlighting the lives of unemploted robots which will in turn lead to appearances in other reality TV shows, then to certain robots standing for election as MP's..... Oh, sorry, I'm getting carried away, that could never happen.
