Simon Cowell: 'Son Eric will take over from me on X Factor
Simon Cowell has said that he hopes son Eric will also be involved in the entertainment business.
Speaking to Terri Seymour for ITV's Lorraine, the X Factor judge was asked whether Eric will be following in his father's footsteps.
100%," Simon said. "He's going to take over [from me].
"He's doing amazing - he travels with us a lot, but he's good, he adapts really quickly and he's really, really happy. He's probably the happiest baby I've ever seen in my life - considering who the parents are!"
The music mogul also spoke about his final three acts who have made it through to the upcoming X Factor Live Shows, saying that he feels good about his decision.
He said: "I feel good - two were really easy based on what we saw and then the third one was a little bit more tricky but then I slept on it and I made the right decision.
"Ben was great, Fleur, revelation on the day, and Jay - he had an off day and then I thought back to his first auditions and I thought, 'No, he deserves a chance', and when I was talking to him giving him the news, 100% I felt it was the right decision."
Cowell revealed that he mostly agrees with the other judges' decisions, and that he thinks this year's final will be close.
"I think they pretty much made the right decisions," he said, "I'm not sure I would've made exactly the same decisions but I think the good thing about this year is it's going to be close.
"There is no clear frontrunner, there's a lot of people who could do well and I think the first Live Show you're going to really see who's got it and who hasn't."
