Should be pointed out that this isn't "Big Brother's Big Profit" - the figures you've quoted are for Channel 5 as a whole. C5 has never disclosed Big Brother's financial performance AFAIK.

It's not BS in the slightest - that C5 isn't dependent on Big Brother is pretty much exactly what the CEO of Viacom said. His words were: "Maybe we continue with Big Brother, maybe if for some reason that didn’t work out we have the ability to put out other great programming."
