Stacey Branning (Lacey Turner) will share a passionate kiss with Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo) in the coming weeks, little realising that he has recently raped Queen Vic landlady Linda Carter (Kellie Bright).

Scenes to be broadcast on the 29th October, will see Stacey deciding that she can no longer stay living with Kat (Jessie Wallace) and Alfie (Shane Richie) as she struggles to keep the secret about the recent fire at No 23 Albert Square.

An upset Stacey seeks comfort with Dean, having flirted with the hairdresser for these past few weeks. But the tension between the two of them will bubble over and they end up sharing a kiss.
It hasn’t yet been confirmed whether Dean will end up pursuing a relationship with Stacey, although Matt Di Angelo recently revealed that his character will get a new love interest on the soap.

Speaking about the aftermath of the attack on Linda, the actor said: “When the rape happens, Linda’s physical reaction is that her body doesn’t scream ‘No, stop!’.
“Dean reads it as him being a little bit forceful, but he thinks it’s OK. So he doesn’t address it. He carries on and gets a new girlfriend afterwards.”
