Default Stephanie Nala told to DIE over Overload Generation sing off

Quote:

X Factor 2014 contestant has been told to DIE by fans of boy band Overload.

Last night saw Steph in the sing off with the boy band in the first X Factor 2014 results.

Earlier, Blonde Electra had become the first act to be booted out after coming bottom of the public vote.

Judges then decided between Steph and Overload but after their votes were tied it went to deadlock, where Overload had polled the fewest votes.

An emotional Steph took to Twitter shortly after and revealed how she was being targeted by trolls telling her to kill herself.

“I Hated being in the sing off with overload. They are the loveliest boys and got on with them so well. Please stop telling me to die ” she tweeted.

The 20-year-old, who last year made the BGT final in the group the Luminites, went on: “It was honestly the worst feeling being in a sing off with people you love and bonded with…

She added: “Been such a tough day”

This morning however, Steph declared: “Can only go up from here”

On the Xtra Factor last night, Steph’s mentor Cheryl said that the result was a “wake up call.”

The Girls Aloud singer explained: “We need to do a lot of work on her, she’s got a very delicate voice.

“She’s one of those artists who is so distinctive that you have to get it right. It’s a good wake up call for me and her.”

The XFactor continues next weekend on ITV.
