Indeed, they were pretty ridiculous with H1N1 and borderline hysterical with the measles "epidemic" in Wales last year, essentially making measles out to be some sort of apocalyptic plague when the reality is, in the vast majority of cases, it's less symptomatic than Chicken pox and clears faster.
Then again, lately the US have managed to be pretty hysterical about actual chicken pox
