No Save the Daleks!!!!..................

Daleks are on the march

The metal monsters were outraged that they are not to appear in the new series of Dr Who.

And as they trundled through the streets of Southampton with human fans, hundreds more bombarded The Sun with phone calls and emails echoing the Daleks’ battle cry: “Don’t let us be exterminated”.

Phil Rees, of Welshpool, said: “Thank God The Sun is championing them so that new fans can enjoy the best Dr Who villain ever.”

The new series starring Christopher Ecclestone as The Doctor begins filming next month.

But The Sun told yesterday how the BBC, which wants to update the Daleks, had failed to agree terms with the family of their late creator Terry

Protest leader Chris Balcombe, 54, said: “Everyone associates Dr Who with the Daleks. If an amicable deal isn’t reached, millions of fans will be disappointed.”

The Nation estate’s agent, Tim Hancock, who has been negotiated with the BBC, said: “I’m very sorry for Dr Who fans.

“We accept the Daleks need modernising, and are all for it. All we ask is that they consult us on the designs. But the BBC are not prepared to.”
