hype is a marketing tool used to get viewers to tune in. The reality is always disappointing but the viewers generally stay just to see what happens. Without the hype, the figures wouldn't stack up. Naturally they are going to over hype it like they always do. I am prepared to be disappointed and I probably will be. We will see.
