If someone is known for a particular reason, it's fair for that to form part of the judgement. Being semi-decent in the house doesn't erase bad things done out of the house, and therefore it won't push them from my mind.
I'd be willing to judge someone purely based on the show if they acknowledged their faults and genuinely seeked to make amends. Otherwise, no. I don't think we automatically owe them a clean slate if they're not willing to do their bit to achieve that. Redemption is earned.
