Talent agent Jason Trawick, 43, who ended his engagement with the 'Perfume' hitmaker two years ago after four years of dating, reportedly reached out to the blonde beauty recently because he misses her, but her father, Jamie Spears, told him to back off.
A source told InTouch magazine: ''He told Jason to stop calling her.
''Jamie really doesn't want anyone from Britney's past interfering with her life right now.''
Britney previously admitted her break-up from Jason ''sucked'' even though he inspired several tracks on her last album, 'Britney Jean'.
While promoting the record in September 2013, she said: ''During this album, I had a breakup with Jason that I went through that I wrote a lot about. They suck! Break-ups suck, man.''
The 33-year-old singer recently started dating TV producer Charlie Ebersol, 33, following her split from legal researcher David Lucado last year, and her father hopes she will ''settle down'' with him.
An insider previously said the couple, who started dating four months ago, are ''already discussing having children together''.
The friend added: ''Britney has said that Charlie wants to have children of his own and thinks that she would be the perfect mother for them.''
