There has to be: it will be in the housemates contracts the maximum amount of days they will be in the house.

Could be an 'open ended' contract saying "you agree to participate in the show and its spin offs for the duration of the series" or they could say "upto 16 weeks" that way however long it ends up lasting is covered by them.
