He knows exactly how to tread that fine line of passive aggressive behaviour. He knows how to wind people up without saying any of the media-sensitive buzzwords that would get him a warning or whatever.

He knows he can scream 'you're a disgusting pig' in Ken's face and not a get a warning. He knows he will also get away with calling Ken a 'cancer'.

That's as nasty as you can get without 'breaking the rules'. He knows it's only offensive words that are specific to a race or sexuality that constitute a warning which is why he avoids them and just uses other nasty insults instead.

But you know he does it on purpose as he admits it himself - just like he did before he coughed near Alex in the bedroom when whispered into his microphone that he was about to do it on purpose.

He'll be as nasty as he can get away with but then run down the old path of 'offended' 'threatened' 'worried for my safety' 'call my lawyer' etc as soon as he gets the reaction he wants.

He aint silly. He aint nice either.
