Ron Atkinson is being lined up to appear in the next series of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.
The 65-year-old lost his football pundit role on ITV after making a racist remark, the Daily Star reports.
The former Manchester United boss had insulted ex-Chelsea player Marcel Desailly while commentating on the Champions League semi-final.
He had thought he was off-air at the time, but was shocked to discover his comments were being broadcast in the Middle East.
Atkinson believes appearing on Granada's reality show is a way back into TV.
He said: "All this has cost me around a million one way or another. Now I've been asked if I want to do I'm A Celebrity."
A TV insider told the Daily Star: "Ron is known as Bo Jangles because of all the gold jewellery he wears. But we want his nickname to become Bo Jungles. He will be a real sensation."
TV bosses believe viewers will be on the edge of their seats waiting for another 'Big Ron super gaffe', the paper reports.
An ITV spokesman said: "It is very early days. We never confirm the line-up until people sign on the dotted line."
Paul Gascoigne and Charlotte Church are also thought to have been approached to feature on the reality show.
