We all have opinions but when it hurts a person or group of people when they haven't done anything wrong is it really appropriate to hurt and hate on people simply because we can?

It's not ok to hate on ginger people, fat people etc simply because each and every person on this planet is different and they should NOT all be tarred with the same brush - we are all unique in our own way
You make a good argument but free speech includes the right to offend, by all means be critical of the nature of the comment but when the speaker is attacked for saying it, well that is the issue for me.
