I think finishing last in the final, would be quiet embarrassing. Shows that less people want you to win than the others.
Third place or winner is the best for me.
Third because, you've made it to the Top 3, but don't have to suffer the embarrassment of runner-up for loosing against another person. Especially to a landslide.
