It is a side effect of europe, its not news, because we signed up to it many years ago and actively encourage it. If we want an insular society then vote to exit from europe and go back to border controls. Correct. We have an aging population (damned baby-boomers) and if our own people won't breed, then we simply HAVE to import. But then, everyone is also wailing about how "people shouldn't be having more than two kids that they can't afford
". Sooo... you can't have it both ways, basically. Either our own population needs to increase the birth rate, or we need migrants, OR we need to start euthanizing the elderly.
I'm not particularly opposed to any of those three options, to be fair... but y'know... people really need to pick one.
