Racist terms do not make you racist, using them to cause offence does. She didn't use the word in question to cause offence, ergo, not racist.

Well, if that's the case, Charley should be in trouble too. According to the transcript, Charley did use the words 'I'm a ******'. Why is that okay?

In short, its not, in my opinion. But C4 know that they will get 0 complaints about a black woman (afro-caribbean if we're being PC) using the word.

So you admit that it's a racist term? I don't think she is racist but that is not the point in my eyes. If C4 let this go it would set a very bad precedent. Do you see that?

In that case, I agree, but the implication of this thread, to me, was that Emily is racist, and to me that is incorrect. But yes, the word is racist, and she shouldn't have used it.
