Don't think I can agree on this Alex. Yes obviously parental idiocy is the issue but I'd say specifically the idiocy of leaving a loaded firearm lying around. It's madness.

Yes, a TV could fall on a child and hurt them, but it's actually very unlikely that it would kill them. Even a sharp knife, a minor injury is more likely than death, but even leaving knives in reach of a toddler is madness.

But come on. A loaded gun ready to fire, where a toddler can access it? The likelihood of someone being injured or killed is sky high. It's not even in the same ballpark... In fact Not even in the same area code... As leaving a child around a normal room with potential hazards like heavy objects.
