It's really difficult to judge this one, and its not something I would want to get wrong. The plain truth is that she was either offended by the comment which is understandable, and she should then be given credit for handling it well with Emily.
Or she is on her biggest adrenalin rush ever and milking it all the way to the papers and the bank!
The problem here is that she does have the tendency for attention seeking and has an annoying habit of drawing attention to any faults or weaknesses she can find ,and even possibly make up, about others around her.
