It's gone beyond anticipation. It's ridiculous. They've purposely done so much damage to these two.
What you said though-they have been open about the fact that if they put these two characters together, where does the show go from there. But that's bs and lack of creativity because there is so much to explore if these two particular characters get together. He's the potus, no show has ever tackled a presidential divorce, he wants to make a black woman the first lady, how will the republican party respond to this, how will the nation respond, what will happen to the first lady etc....had so much potential but now they're talking about some crap spy plot noone cares about. Word around the street is that the showrunner has a crush on another co star Scott Foley since 1999 so she's trying to make the show about him and this spy crap. Ugh so annoyed. Jake Ballard, I hate him he ruined the show. His acting sucks. Teenage fan girls love him though because he loves olivia too but with him and Olivia it's less complicated than with the president because he's not married and etc.
It's season 4 and the POTUS was meant to tackle presidential divorce in season 2 but the writers have been holding off since, making the president the "villain" in scandal while this stupid ass joke ballard is being written as some hero...he's not
The ratings seem to be falling and i'm glad. They need to know a large % of their audience gives zero ****s about jake ballard and that spy crap.
If Olivia is with Jake it's definitely an easy choice, but there's nothing interesting about it, no chemistry, bland. With POTUS it's sexy, fiery, interesting, complicated, devastating, soul grabbing, and you root for them because you see all the love they have for each other. Why Shonda ruined this I have no clue. Media was talking about their chemistry like it's was the first time they noticed chemistry. But shonda loves to ruin a good thing. She killed McDreamy on Grey's anatomy on thursday. Never watched grey's but I knew of mcdreamy and shonda is just CRUEL!!!!!! to do this to his fans after 11 years of sticking by the character and getting to love him
I have no hope for olitz
