Turning this around on Charley because of her reaction is unacceptable, even more so to bring the CBB5 debate into it aswell to confuse things even further. That's Endemol's concern, not the BB8 housemates.
Charley heard a word which carries an awful amount of offence in it's historical context. Although Emily Parr was trying to be friendly in using the word in it's newer modern context, that does not mean this word must be accepted by Charley and treated with good humour. A more mature woman may have been able to do so, but Charley is not mature and her over active thoughts about 'the press' and public image obviously started playing tricks on her mind and she simply couldn't control herself for the following hours. Whether or not this was to aid her chances in the competition or simply a neurotic expression is only for Charley to know for sure, but to have this turned around on her is not at all good to see, in my opinion.
I can understand Charley being ejected for offending viewers for using the N word, but I refuse to condemn the girl for having a considerable reaction to hearing the word.
Charley's only fault was contradicting herself, when she claimed, in the diary room, that Emily's comment was deliberately racist, when she already knew it was not, and had declared so during the initial conversation.
