Default If you were the creator of your own religion...

What 5-10 commandments would you have in place? They can be all serious, all satirical or a mix of the two and they can be as specific or vague as you want them.

You are perfectly entitled to steal another persons commandment if you want it on your list but if you take it exactly word for word maybe quote the user at the end of the commandment or something.

1) treat others how would you expect to be treated by them.

2) be understanding of others personal hardships even when you have hardships of your own.

3) be charitable if necessary, we can't always be secure and prosperous.

4) have any other gods you may wish but do not allow the words of thi gods to break any of thine other commandments.

5) for one day of every month (usually the last Sunday) reserve yourself two minutes of personal reflection for the people you have loved and lost and for those lost in unfortunate circumstances.

6) Do not kill under any circumstance, even in the name of justice.

7) thou are prefectly entitled to call fans of other football clubs '********in tail tuggers' across the stand so long as thi beer is at least half full and thou wordst are just. Afterward thou may explain to any of thine offspring that may be in attendance that football makes Daddy go crazy and at all other times you must abide by the other commandments.

8) do not talk with your mouth full.

9) be utterly faithful to your partner unless you have previously agreed you are going to have an open relationship in which case patteth thineself on thi back and consider thiself blessed my child.

10) do not take that which does not belong to you.
