I think the reason I'm fighting for C5's corner is because they are airing a show that has managed to get to 35 series. They HAVE to try new things. Yes I think a lot of that is down to the over reliance they have on CBB but I think they've very much made that their own. I don't think they need two series of it a year but they've got literally nothing else in their schedules that gets as much attention as Big Brother.
The show has to try out different things to remain interesting. Sometimes it'll work, sometimes it won't.
But they make the same mistakes over and over.

Didn't they learn in BB15 that having a series based on two rival housemates kills the show?

What do they do?

CBB14 - Gary vs. James
CBB15 - Perez vs. Katie H

What about the fact, that every series since CBB11 has had a secret room of some sort.

Especially in BB15 and CBB15 when they're clear attempts to go to producers way.

What about live feed?
It's not the cost. All they do is turn on a few cameras, and broadcast them.

The real reason we don't have live feed is so they can control what we see.

What about things that go on that we don't know about?
Like Perez doing a radio show, in the house, and Hopkins having access to a computer.

If they were honest, they would tell us. Instead they hide it from the viewers.
