There are so many "I stan ha" "why don't you stan ha" and "how can you stan ha" arguments about music on here it does my head in. I am allowed to love the Beatles and what they did for music in their time as well as like modern day pop and rock. I don't have to burn one musicians legacy to the ground in order to like another. I can like Aretha Franklin, Joni Mitchel, Madonna, Whitney, Cyndi, Britney, GaGa, Cher, Fi, and any other diva I want without saying negative things about another.
Music is personal, it is subjective, it feels unique to you and is unique to you because you are the only one who can hear it in the way you do, and feel it in the way you do. Music is art, and art is complex and speaks to each person on different levels. It isn't a cheap character on a reality tv show, it is the fuel of life, so quit ripping other peoples fuel to shreds... I don't stan it.

..I think though..(for me when I was younger anyway..)...in some ways, music meant so much more to me than it does now..my music 'understood' me/artists understood me, they sang what I felt, they felt what I felt..they just knew me/they were there for me through every angst I felt... and I do understand the passion with that/when you feel like that ...and I'm not sure when I was younger that I didn't to some extent feel the same with music I liked less...oh I don't understand that, type thing and why don't you see how great this is instead...and yeah/passions will play because music means so much to people, I think...
