Clicking on the Report button in itself is fairly problematic, too. There's no real reference to base a situation on. Sometimes you get a reply, sometimes you don't. I appreciate that the same post may be reported umpteen times over, that some people will use it for silly reasons, and some may even use it by mistake. But an acknowledgement of some sort would be nice, even if it's just a stock copy & paste (from an actual member of staff of course, rather than an automated response). Otherwise, how do we know whether we were right to hit the button at all, whether it's been dismissed as backseat moderation, or if the report has even been read?

It's best to click the report button if you think any post could be found offensive, in whatever way: homophobic, racist or anything that could potentially offend members.
The reports are sent to every moderator to check out. We may not always reply, but we do make a decision as to whether or not the post is suitable. If it isn't, then it is edited accordingly.
I'd say 99.9% - if not 100% - of reported posts are read by a member of the Admin. Team. Not all of them, as I've already said, need to be edited.
I think Rule H:
"Administrators of them forum have the right to delete, modify or change the content of any post at any time for any reason without notification to anyone." pretty much covers everything.
Obviously, we can't look through every single post everyday... there's too many. We do out best, but the report button is there for users to help us out in making sure there is nothing offensive posted on the board.
So, to sum it up, anything you would consider to be homophobic should be reported and it will be dealt with ASAP by a moderator.

I had just come home from a night out. Wasn't really in the state to moderate.
