Strategically, she might not have made the best choices. Nick already is quite fond of her. She could have picked people who she isn't as close to so she had a chance to work on the relationship away from most of the others... Eileen, for starters.

Aaron does get more than his share of rewards, but placating him might be the best thing to keep his complaining and sulking at a minimum, so I can understand it.
