And for what? Absolutely God damn nothing. She wasn't nasty, malicious, arrogant, or even argumentative. She was just an educated girl exploring her sexuality, and occasionally a little bit crude in coming forward. But alas, she was scrutinised and picked apart like she was a criminal. You see, the implicit bias that runs through the very fibres of our governmental and infrastructural foundation still remains. For many, they are entirely unaware that they have been marinated in this implicit bias since the day they were born. We are surrounded by an exhortation of images and propaganda that leads to the subconscious cognitive processing of subtle prejudice.
One day, hopefully sometime in the future, everyone will truly start to recognise this and make a personal effort to do something about it. However, this is not possible if there is a failure to recognise such subjective bias within oneself.
