Default Soldier On

Jason has been priming his troops to ensure tonight's sentry duty goes off without a hitch... knowing that passing the task will bring him one step closer to dodging eviction.

As the Scots Sergeant sat in the Sentry Hut he outlined the nature of the sentry duty. "Remember you have to sit, you cannot move," he said, indicating the seat of the hut to Ahmed.

As Victor joined them in the garden Jason repeated his instruction, telling the Londoner, "You've got to stay in here."

Continuing his motivational speech he told them, "That's the thing guys - we've got to make this clockwork - this watch changeover."

He and Victor decided they would go over the nature of the watch changeover so everyone knew what to expect.

Taking a brief break from his drilling, Jason yawned at the rigours of a day that had involved bossing his housemates around and eating fine food.

Ahmed suggested that if Jason weren't happy with his elevated position, he'd be happy to swap. The muscleman seemed strangely reluctant to relinquish his role.

"This is the most toughest task," grumbled Ahmed.

"It's not tough... we can do it," encouraged his Sergeant.

And with the outcome of the task still playing on his mind, Jason reminded Ahmed, "Soon they will do the bugle call and you'll have to get into full uniform."

"Privates, it's gonna be a long cold night... does everyone know the changeovers?" he checked with Daniel and Stuart, who had wandered into the garden.

"Dan, you've gotta make sure the night swaps go good... [that] everyone knows their shifts," barked Sergeant Jason.

They only have five minutes to swap shifts during sentry duty, which lasts from 10pm until 6am.

On parade

Moments later the bugle sounded interrupting Jason's pep talk and summoning the troops to get in line and raise the Big Brother flag.

As the ceremonial music sounded through the garden the housemates lined up on the decking and saluted while Nadia raised the flag. Job done, she took up her position alongside the troops and saluted.

The music stopped. "Troops dis-" began Jason, as they started to disband.

But the solemn music restarted and the housemates quickly stood back to attention, laughing at the sombre tones. As it went on... and on, Michelle's saluting arm began to tire.

"Bloody hell - can't we swap arms," she moaned.

That's the least of your problems.
