Two emails from her friend today:

I've spoken to Livia this morning, she's expecting the doctor later today and she's hopeful he'll give her a date to come home. I'm not sure he will, but finger's crossed. The problem is that all her injuries are on the right side so it's difficult for her to use crutches because of her arm/collarbone. We'll see what the doctor says though, and I'll let you know when I hear more.

Hello Linda and Amelie,

I’ve seen Livia today after she saw the doctor. She’s having her stitches out on Friday and all being well they will discharge her then. She’s had a blood transfusion because apparently that happens frequently after a femoral break. She’s already been up and about putting weight on her leg, and although she’s still in quite a lot of pain she is determined. She’s using one crutch because it’s impossible for her to use two with her other breaks and the physios are working with her. She’s very tired but apart from that she seems to be bearing up remarkably. She's straining at the leash to get out whereas I would probably want to lay still for a week or two.

This is all very good news, I hope it works out because Livia will be devastated if they don’t discharge her.
