Default What I miss

The days when twists weren't little things thrown into the house every other day that have been made up 24 hours earlier in the production meeting, but massive things that were planned months in advance of the series actually starting. Things like the Secret Garden, the House Next Door. Twists that were planned to occur at a certain point in the series regardless of how it was going down.

Twists that were announced by Davina sporadically, and that excitement around week 5 at the end of the eviction interview where you'd be waiting to see if she'd tease a twist and give us the full details (HND announcement after Lisa's eviction was amazing) before it took place, so there'd be full transparency and we'd feel like we knew more than the housemates did and were in a position of power.

Now all we have are themed series which as much as I've praised the ideas behind them are clearly just an excuse and mirage to conjure up some twists every other day based on events in the house, plan them minute by minute and reveal them to us days after they've happened, rather than before. Hardly any of the twists have been 'timebomb' themed yet they call every single one of them a 'timebomb' and it's embarrassing and it was the same with BB14 and 15

It's just sad
