Although, it does say that you can upgrade after a year, so I could just leave it until my next motherboard/processor upgrade (early 2016 probably) and then do it. Still hoping it's like-for-like though and I get a retail serial for 10 in exchange for retail 8.1... it would only be fair! I mean, they owe me! I actually paid MONEY for Windows 8.1. A feat I never accomplished with Windows 7. Or XP. ...or 98
