I really don't understand why some people seem to get so flustered by the tattoo's/piercings/body mod's etc. that other people have done to themselves!!!!!!??
I often see people with loads of facial piercings that i don't like the look of and would never dream of having done myself but it doesn't bother me in the slightest that they have had them done and obviously like them. I think it's great!
I've seen people on here getting really, really angry at other people's personal body mod choices to the point where it sounds almost like they're saying that people must be lacking in intelligence to have had certain things done!
I personally think it's great to see people celebrating their individual identity in such ways and i certainly wouldn't dream of judging them for it or treating them in a certain way because of it (which many people seem to do a lot!).
People have been modifying their bodies in various ways pretty much as far back as we have found evidence of our existence so it's not like it's a modern trend or something. It's just particularly popular these days as people strive for some form of individuality in a World where many are satisfied (or even desire) to just be carbon copies of each other, assimilating themselves into another minute clone that is impossible to tell apart from their neighbour.
If that's what you're happy being then that's fine but i don't think it's right to have a problem with people who don't want to be exactly the same as the next person. Individuality (and the choice to be who or what you want to be) should be welcomed and celebrated, in my opinion at least!
