You can't work in a kitchen wearing gloves though Joey. For mass production you might be right but for "food preparation" across the board it's just not feasible. For example, using plastic gloves while preparing raw chicken then taking them off to prep other foods actually carries a higher risk of cross contamination than simply washing your hands after handling the raw meat. Also the reduced manual dexterity and sensation in gloves increases the risk of cuts and burns during prep and cooking, which is obviously both a safety and a hygiene issue.
