The mountain isn't "sacred", they sure as **** didn't cause an earthquake, and whilst yes it's arrogant and immature to go travelling and act like idiots (which they were) there's a pretty massive chasm between that and it actually being illegal. Send them home, ban them from the country, whatever. Don't lock them up Ffs. I can see this going really badly and some backwater idiot hurting or killing one of them for angering the mountain gods.

Obviously it didn't cause the earthquake no one is suggesting that, but my point still stands about respect. If it emerged someone stripped in the Abbey there would be public outrage make no mistake

I doubt very much they will be detained for long at any rate
