Her not-so-pleasant words and actions have surpassed "mischievous but ultimately harmless" a few times. During the Shahbaz saga, she specifically wanted to "hurt him more". How is that merely mischevious and harmless?
As for the present day, I don't think we can say with certainty that her prank on Jack is "harmless". It was certainly mean-spirited (rather than a good-natured prank, which would be more warranted of being branded "mischevious"), and I don't really think building someone up for a greater fall than they're already heading for is "harmless".
I fully agree that Helen is a million times worse, but I really don't get the glossing-over of Nikki's bad traits.
