They're all playing a game.
The aim of the game is to avoid eviction and snag the prize money at the end.
However, the game itself just isn't worth "playing" anymore since no amount of game playing or tactics can change the outcome that the producers will make sure comes to fruition.
The rules change every 10 seconds to suit what they want to happen.
