Default Task Result Press Release

SIX HOUSEMATES FACE EVICTION AFTER PASSING BOOT CAMP TASK

At 1.20pm today, the results of Boot Camp task were announced to the housemates. Big Brother then revealed the twist, that instead of the usual nomination process, the result of the task determines which housemates will automatically face eviction on Friday.

Sergeant Jason and Michelle were successful at enforcing the rules of the camp and the six Privates completed the majority of assignments and duties needed to pass the task.

Therefore, Jason and Michelle will not face eviction this week and instead the six Privates, Ahmed, Daniel, Nadia, Shell, Stuart and Victor, will all face the public vote.

In order to pass the task set on Saturday, housemates were told to abide by the rules of the camp and complete assignments set by the Big Brigadier. However, only the two Sergeants, Jason and Michelle, were aware of the twist and what was at stake.

If the housemates did not complete Big Brigadier’s individual duties and assignments or abide by the specified Boot Camp rules then they would incur a fail. Privates were allowed three fails each day for the course of the entire task. They did not exceed this daily fail allowance and passed the overall task.

A run down of the Boot Camp rules, duties and fails incurred is below:

FLAG CEREMONY
· Each morning and evening Big Brigadier sounded a bugle to instruct the Sergeants and Privates to dress in their full uniform and assemble in the garden for the raising/lowering of the flag. This part of the task was successfully completed every day.

EXERCISE DRILL
· Every morning Privates were required to complete an exercise drill in the garden. On Sunday Private Ahmed did not complete the exercise drill and incurred one fail.

FOOD
· The Sergeants were provided with luxury food that must be prepared and cooked by the Privates and eaten at the Sergeant’s table. The Privates were provided with basic rations, which must be eaten out of a billycan. On Saturday Sergeant Jason ate his dessert on the decking and incurred a fail. On Sunday Private Ahmed drank tea out of a china cup instead of the army surplus tin cup on two separate occasions and incurred two fails.

ASSIGNMENTS
· Every day the regiment were set assignments by Big Brigadier that must be completed by the Privates, without any help from the Sergeants. During Saturday’s potato peeling task, Sergeant Jason helped the group. This incurred one fail.
· The Privates were provided with materials that must be used when carrying out the assignments. During Sunday’s boot cleaning assignment, Private Victor did not wear the gloves provided by Big Brigadier and therefore incurred one fail.

SENTRY DUTY
· From 10pm to 6am, Privates must, in pairs, complete Sentry Duty shifts. Although Private Ahmed only took part in this duty for one night, the other Privates covered his shifts and they therefore passed this part of the task.

UNIFORMS
· Privates were required to wear full uniform for the morning and evening flag ceremonies and Sentry Duty. The Privates successfully completed this part of the task.

In Brief;
Saturday
· Jason earned the group two fails – helping with the potato peeling assignment and eating his evening meal away from the Sergeant’s table.
Sunday
· Ahmed earned the group two fails–drinking from a china cup on two occasions.
· Victor earned the group one fail – not using full equipment during the boot cleaning task.
Monday
· Ahmed earned the group one fail – refusing to complete the exercise drill.
