..I agree with CeeCee in that so often with these tings, most if not all of the media focus is on the killer's life and not their victims...that must also add to the pain of the victim's families as well and maybe make what is already heart-breaking even harder for them...so for them in this case and in general when something like this becomes a 'reality'...'understanding' will not change anything and will probably not 'ease'...



..I agree also Samuel, that there must be mental illnesses with things like this and some understanding is important as well..but I also sadly think that with these 'extremes'...that understanding is unlikely to change or prevent....because the reason they do happen is that the extremities of them and troubled mind could never have been detected or 'pieced together' until the 'hindsight' thing happens...if he spends his whole life in prison and is tried to be 'understood' by psychologists through that time...I doubt there will be much gained in the prevention of something similar....
