Think he has only just turned 20 but it doesn't mean he is a kid. Think Cristian has gone through quite a lot in his life and is quite capable of looking after himself. He keeps bringing up age though. It is all part of his "father figure" persona he is trying to create. Prior to Marc going into the bunker he had sat with Jack and criticised Cristian for spending all his time with Marc. Marc really played into his hands by pushing Cristian away with his actions when he returned.
