It's not just nasty comments , what Helen did to Jale was the same she isolated her from the group and then got the whole group to laugh and ridicule the poor girl.
Helen is really nice to some people and uses a common enemy type approach to gang up on an individual, this time though it hasn't been so successful because the originals had an alliance of sorts already of which Danny seems to be the leader and he won't get on board and has told her he doesn't agree with how she behaves.So she is losing her power and control which is why I guess she got upset/angry.
